Skill Development is a priority for India given the millions of youth passing out from school and hundreds of thousands of graduates passing out from various universities. Skill is also an important aspect of the bilateral relationship with Japan. Under the TITP, trained individuals from India can be sent to Japan for on-the-job training for a specific period, maximum up to 5 years. TMI is in the process of getting listed as Sending Organization (SO) with JITCO (Japan International Training Corporation Organization) and NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation). TMI Japan Business Desk understands the nuances of the TITP and is aggressively taking the lead to identify potential beneficiaries of the programme in India and potential Supervisory Organizations in Japan.

Gajendra Mahanand is a Management Consultant and a Sustainability Practitioner. He has been focusing on emerging trends in Renewable Energy and Waste Management projects in India. He is credited with setting up one of the first PPP Solid Waste Management project in India (Gujarat).
Gajendra is a Management Graduate from Bristol Business School (UK) and a PhD Scholar (Executive) from TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI-SAS), New Delhi. He has presented and participated at various Business Summits including Nippon Expo, Japan (2008,2009), Kansai Energy Fair (Japan, 2009), Vibrant Gujarat Investment Summit (Gujarat 2009 & 2011). He has a professional association with Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), Resource Efficiency Network (REN), Schumacher Institute (UK) and Kabushiki Creative, IGES and Japan for Sustainability.
